I was raised in a small town in Northeastern PA and pursued a B.S. Dual Certification in Elementary/Early Childhood from Millersville University. I obtained a teaching position at the School District of Lancaster and taught in a full-day Kindergarten classroom for 6 years while pursuing my M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. Later, I ventured into 2nd grade in the Solanco School District and have been teaching there for 14 years. During my tenure, I earned my Program Specialist Certificate for English as a Second Language. Recently, I obtained my M.Ed. in Instructional Design and Technology from the American College of Education, as I am passionate about creating and designing appropriate instruction for ALL types and ages of learners. I was fortunate enough to start a wonderful family with my husband, Eric, and our three children: Aiden, Kasen, and Brynn. Not to mention, my 15-year-old dog, Hank. Keeping up with them is a demanding task, but I cherish it and know that I will miss it someday.

          I love the beach AND camping - very different I know!

         One of my former students who graduated this year sent me a card expressing how her love for learning began in second grade with the read-alouds I would share with my class.  Talk about powerful!

         I enjoy anything chocolate - but Peppermint Patties are my fav!

         My HS basketball team was shown on ESPN for winning a game after a 243-game losing streak. Remember I said I lived in a small town?
